Book and Podcast Recommendations
These book and podcast recommendations are a mix of business learning and easy reading or listening for pleasure. Some may nurture your mind while others speak to your soul. Have fun with the recs!
Book Recommendations
I read too many books to be able to recommend as many I would like to, and this page would become an endless scroll. I will try to highlight the most useful [business] and easy [pleasure] to read. Some may fall away so others can be added, so keep checking in. If you have recommendations, please leave a comment with the info - I love a reason to get a new book ;)
[pleasure] The Enchanted Garden Cafe by Abigail Drake
I read this book in a day and bought the next two books in the series the next day. It’s got magic, romance, and fun. I can easily see it being turned into a film or series.
[pleasure] The Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley
This is the first book in the series and I can see why this series is so widely acclaimed. I found it to be an easy read, with the historical fiction part most interesting.
[business] $100M Offers and $100M Lead by Alex Hormozi
An easy to understand approach to business for a beginner. Of course, like most business books, there is a lot of self-praise and reference to bank account values (it’s easy to skim over because it’s repetitive).
[business] Building a StoryBrand by Donald Miller
A pretty iconic book on the storytelling framework that many other frameworks seem to be based on.
Podcast Recommendations
I follow far too many podcasts and my listening patterns tend to follow my moods and life events. Like the book recs, there is a mix of interests here (the podcast descriptions or taglines are given). If you have recommendations, please leave a comment with the info - may as well add another to mix ;)
